At SweetStamps blog today our theme is Microbeads.  Please join us for a chance to win $20.00 in FREE stamps by entering your Microbead creation in our challenge.  If you enter using a SweetStamps stamp you will be entered twice in the drawing.

For my card I started with the EF4017 Embossing Folder from Crafts-Too and embossed the front of the white A6 card making sure the embossing was indented not raised.  I colored in the indented areas using Distress Markers (Broken China, Vintage Photo, Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marigold and Black Soot).  I used a Quickie Glue Pen on the colored areas and applied Sugar Beads to the birds and Sugar Sand to the leaves.  The sentiment is 2 separate stamps 9083 To A Wonderful and 9090 Daughter both from SweetStamps.com.  I finished the card with some silver iridescent border and corner stickers.

Sparkly Peacock

For this card I die cut the FRM137 Peacock from Cheery Lynn Designs from black card stock.  I followed the directions for Stacey's Sparkling Stained Glass Technique found in the projects and instructions section on the SweetStamps.com web site.  The only difference was I didn't cut 2 pieces for my peacock, I just layered it to the Super Sticky tape and a piece of 36# vellum and hand cut around the oval.  After I colored the backside of the vellum using Distress Markers (Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans, Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters)  I applied Vellum 2 Adhesive Spray to the backside and layered it to a piece of white card stock and hand trimmed around the oval.  The corners are from the B175 Lace Corner Deco J set from CLD.  I mounted them on the backside of the peacock using tape.  The Turquoise background design is the E123 Eccentric Circles, the leaves are the B179 Iris Leaves and the flower is the stamens from the B181 Build a Flower set all from CLD.  For the flower I cut 3 sets of stamens, 1 in black and 2 in turquoise, on one set of the turquoise stamens I added some color using a Black Soot Distress Marker before removing the pieces from the paper to give them a spotted effect.

Birthday Card and Gift Box

For both the card and gift box I used Kaiser Crafts Up, Up and Away 6x6 paper pad, Rub-ons and Printed Chip Board.   The sentiments are 9079 Fancy Birthday and 9119 Full of Smiles from SweetStamps.com. Tea Dye Distress ink was used on the stamps and the larger French Flair on the inside of the card is from the XL12 French Flair Stacker die set from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The bottle caps and twine were from my stash.

Baby Girl Gift Tag

Front
Back

Here's a baby girl gift tag, made the same way as the baby boy one posted on May 7, 2012.  For this one I used Memento markers (Lulu Lavender, Rich Cocoa, Angel Pink, Dessert Sand and Cottage Ivy) and the Candi is Notting Hill.

Butterfly Box

I made this box for my Niece's graduation.  I used papers from the Authentique Journey 6x6 paper pad, cutting pieces to fit.  The Butterfly is one of the DL113 Small Exotic Butterfly dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The sentiment is the 9013 stamp from SweetStamps.com.  The swirl is part of the DL151 Victorian Romance Flourish die from CLD.  I added some white self adhesive pearls from Kaiser Craft and added some glimmer to the butterfly using Fairy Dust Creative Inspiration Paints.

Post-it Note Holder

The holder is from The Papercut, it comes with a white cover which is already scored and a pad of post-its.   I cut a piece of Coordinations Hazelnut Chocolate Box paper to fit the cover of the post-it holder, embossed it using the E143 XL Leaves embossing plate and sanded the paper using a sanding block.  The border is the B136 Anastasia Border and the flower is from the B181 Build a Flower set, all dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs.  To edge the flower and color the stamen on the flower I used a Gold Marvy LePlume pen.  The center of the flower is a Candi legless brad in Metallique Copper.
