Another AF14 Royal Dance Collage

This stamp, AF14 Royal Dance Collage makes me think of Masked Balls and Mardi Gras so I used Shades Dye inks in Fortune Teller, Envy on glossy paper to make the background and used Distress Embossing ink to stamp the image then heat embossed it using Queen's Gold EP.  I used a course pouncer to pounce the same colors to the white card stock.  The little masks were cut from shrink plastic using the Die-versions DVW188 Fancy Mask 1 and DVW 189 Fancy Mask 2.  I added color to the shrink plastic before shrinking.  The ribbon, rhinestones, and string of gold pearls were from my stash.

SweetStamps.com has a Pintrest board, where ALL of the newly released stamps and projects have been posted- in the ArtsyFartsy board. Here is the link: http://pinterest.com/sweetstamps/

AF14 Royal Dance College

ArtsyfArtsy is a NEW division of SweetStamps.com!
Brought about by our love of papercrafting and stamping, all ArtsyfArtsy images are sized to fit on ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards) which make great layers for standard A2 (4 1/4“ x 5 1/2”) cards!  This new line will contain collage elements.
AF cling stamps are made from high quality, deep-etched red rubber and mounted on cling foam for use with acrylic blocks.
MADE IN THE USA.

We are SUPER excited
to share this new line with you!

Here is the Royal Dance College (AF14)

I just love how this card turned out, it is exactly as I pictured it before I started.  The image was stamped using Distress Embossing ink and heat embossed with Fine Detail Black EP. The embossed background is the CTFD3095 Fans Crafts Too Embossing Folder.  The border is the 5003 Antique Leaf Scroll Border stamped with Nightfall Shades Dye ink both from SweetStamps.com.  The masks were made from Black Shrink Plastic and Whispers Dies DVW188 Fancy Mask 1 and DVW188 Fancy Mask 2, I used toothpicks colored with Nightfall ink to finish the masks.  The netting was also colored with Nightfall ink.  Black Pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

For todays card I used the CS25 Center Step Card die on a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of light blue card stock as my card base.  The patterned paper was from my stash, I stamped it using Nassau Blue Shades Dye ink and a tiny snowflake stamp.  The 870 Snowflake #1 was stamped on 36# Vellum with White Dye Ink and heat embossed with Fantasy White EP  than hand cut.  It is attached to the front of the card with a Candi Fix foam dot, the center is a Glitter Dot.  Brrr is stamped in Nassau Blue ink on one of the dies from the B189 Sentiment Frame #1 set from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The ribbon and pearl snowflakes are from my stash.

Gold Bird Cage

At SweetStamps blog today our theme is Silver or Gold.  Please join us for a chance to win $20.00 in FREE stamps by entering your Silver or Gold creation in our challenge.  If you enter using a SweetStamps stamp you will be entered twice in the drawing.

For todays card I started with a white A2 card and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of printed bird paper from the Authentique Lively 6x6 paper pad both were pounced with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.  The printed paper was outlined with a Gold Leafing Pen.  I stamped the 6007 Robyn Bird Silhouette on Stardream text-weight paper with Distress Embossing ink and heat embossed with Queen's Gold EP then hand cut it.  I die cut the B198 Bird Cage and B117S Mini Fanciful Flourish both from Cheery Lynn Designs from Gold Mirror card stock.  I glued the bird to another piece of Stardreams paper and used Krylon Spray Adhesive on the bird cage to layer it over the bird.  I cut around the bird cage and used foam dots to layer it on the card.  To attach the flourish I used Micro Glue Dots because I wanted some areas to remain loose from the card.  I colored the rhinestones with a YR24 Copic marker.

Lacy Tree Christmas

At SweetStamps blog today our theme is Christmas.  Please join us for a chance to win $20.00 in FREE stamps by entering your Christmas creation in our challenge.  If you enter using a SweetStamps stamp you will be entered twice in the drawing.

For this card I started with a step card using the CS25 Center Step Die.  All the stamps I used are from SweetStamps.com and the ink I used is Satin Rose Shades Dye ink.  I stamped the background design using one of the stamps from the S601 Decorative Elements set, this set of stamps has 7 beautiful design elements that are awesome for creating backgrounds, borders or just stamping alone.  I used a course pouncer on the sides of the card then stamped 9074 Vertical Joy.  I used the Satin Rose ink direct to paper and also sponged the ink on a piece of white card stock.  I stamped the 8006 Lace Tree using Distress Embossing ink and heat embossed it with Fine Detail White EP, then hand cut the tree and used foam dots to attach it to the front of the card.  I used the same piece of colored paper to cut out the B148 Holly Lace Flourish die from Cheery Lynn Designs and used Krylon Adhesive Spray to layer it on the card.

For the inside of the card I used more of the colored paper I made than layered on a piece of white card stock that I sponged and pounced with ink.  I stamped it with the 957 May the Peace and used the corner of the element stamp in the corners of the paper.  To finish it I added more of the Holly Lace Flourish.

Use white dye ink or white EP, then color over the white areas. Here are two splitcoast tutorials: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/blackmagic/ and http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/chalkboard_technique/

Background paper is Bo Bunny Country Garden.  I stamped the 4003 Bold Blooms Tall Corner stamp from SweetStamps.com on black card stock using Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Fine Detail White EP.  Pitt Pens were used over the embossing to add color.  I used the same technique on the one of the butterflies from the S600 Fanciful Butterflies set.  Delicata Golden Glitz ink applied with a course pouncer on the black card stock for added color.  Black photo corners were used to attach the colored piece to the background paper.  To finish the card I added pearls and used Krylon Adhesive Spray to attach the 98256 Pepita Border from Memory Box.

In Her Easter Bonnet Silhouette

For this card I started with a piece of gray card stock that was embossed using the 723159 Bradshaw Embossing Folder from Couture Creations.  After embossing the paper I used Nightfall Shades Dye ink direct to paper to highlight the embossed areas.  I also embossed a piece of white card stock, hand cut around the outside of the frame and used the Nightfall ink to highlight the raised areas.  I used Distress Embossing ink to stamp the silhouette of the 6005 In Her Easter Bonnet stamp from SweetStamps.com on black card stock and heat embossed it with Fine Detail Clear EP then hand cut the silhouette.  I attached the white oval to the card using foam dots and then attached the silhouette to the oval with more foam dots.  The flower in the lower right corner was made from the B181A Embellishments #1 Stamen dies.  I cut these from black and gray card stock, using a black marker to add highlights to  some of the gray pieces than layered them to form a flower.  I finished it with a resin rose from Kaiser Craft.  The flower in the upper left corner is an antiqued silver bottle cap topped with another resin flower.  The flourishes were cut from the DL151 Victorian Romance Flourish die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Ribbon is a piece of fancy black ribbon I had in my stash of things.  Card measures approximately  5"x7".

For this weeks card I used the 7029 Forget Me Not Heart and the 933 Thank You Elegant stamps from SweetStamps.com.  I stamped the heart on 36# vellum using White Dye ink and heat embossed it in Queens Gold fine detail EP.  From the back side of the heart I dry embossed the berries and the open lines around the heart using a 31412 Etching/Embossing mat and stylus tool.  Also on the back side I colored the flowers using a Dove Blender pen and Pitt Artist pens (#167 Green Olive, #136 Purple Violet, #156 Cobalt Green and #125 Middle Purple Pink).  On the front of the image I used a Straight Grid, 31419 Piercing/Perforating pad and a PFTA001 Single Needle Tool to pierce the open area in the heart.

To cut out the image I used the Piecing pad and a 10226 4-Split Perforating Tool, I also used the pad and 4-split tool to cut out the center of the heart.  The Thank You is stamped using Forget Me Not Shades Dye ink from SweetStamps.com.  The French Flairs were die cut using the XL13 French Flair Scalloped from Cheery Lynn Design.  I used a Gold Leafing pen to edge the smaller French Flair and used V2 Vellum Adhesive Spray to adhere the heart to the paper.  I attached the larger French Flair to the 5-3/4" x 5- 3/4" purple square and layered the ribbon over it, taping it on the back.  I used Candi Fix foam dots behind the smaller French Flair and layered it over the ribbon.  The leaves and border are glitter stickers.

Stamped Frame

At SweetStamps blog today our theme is Stamped Frame.  Please join us for a chance to win $20.00 in FREE stamps by entering your Stamped Frame creation in our challenge.  If you enter using a SweetStamps stamp you will be entered twice in the drawing.

For this weeks challenge I used the 440 Artistic Trading Card (ATC) Frame from SweetStamps.com.  I stamped it on cream card stock, once using Latte Shades Dye ink from SweetStamps.com and once using Distress Embossing ink , this one I heat embossed with Medieval Metals EP.  I used the Latte ink direct to paper to add color to the embossed frame and the back side of the other frame.  I hand cut both the frames and also cut out the center of the embossed frame.  I stamped 534 Claudia from SweetStamps.com on cream paper using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored her with Copic markers then cut her out.   The DP I used for the background is from the 6" Glitz Vintage Blue paper pack.  To assemble the frame I first adhered a piece of acetate behind the opening in the embossed frame.  I used 1/16" foam dots behind Claudia and layered her to the DP.  To attach the front frame to the DP I used 2 layers of 1/8" foam dots to get the depth I needed.  The frame stamped in Latte ink was attached to back of the DP piece.  I cut (2) 11"x 1/4" strips of cream card stock, used the Latte ink to add color,  added adhesive to them and fit them between the 2 frame pieces, trimming off any access.  To finish the frame I added an easel stand on the back.
